Passenger Assist operates to high standards of safety, training and regulatory compliance, giving disabled, elderly and vulnerable passengers complete confidence when travelling with us.

All drivers are fully licensed and authorised by Peterborough City Council, having met strict local authority requirements. Every driver is MiDAS trained, First Aid trained, disability awareness trained, and enhanced DBS checked, with experience supporting wheelchair users and vulnerable passengers.

Our fleet consists entirely of purpose-built Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), equipped as standard with tail-lift access, secure wheelchair restraint systems, side steps and grab handles. Vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.

All Passenger Assist vehicles are fitted with approved wheelchair safety restraints and harness systems, designed to securely anchor wheelchairs during travel. These systems help prevent movement while in transit and ensure passengers remain stable, comfortable and protected throughout the journey. Drivers are trained in the correct use of restraints and checks are carried out before every assisted journey.

Passengers receive door-to-door assisted support, with drivers briefed in advance and extra time allowed for each journey. This calm, respectful approach is why Passenger Assist is trusted by families, care homes and healthcare professionals.
